Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Deen Verse ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Deen Verse iPhone app (the "App") you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not download or use Deen Verse.

2. Eligibility

Deen Verse is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for users of all ages. However, because the App is sold via an auto-renewing subscription that creates a binding contract, only persons aged 18 or older may purchase a subscription, agree to these Terms on their own behalf, or provide the optional About You answers described in our Privacy Policy.

If you are under 18, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. By allowing a minor to use Deen Verse, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms on the minor's behalf and assumes responsibility for the minor's use of the App, including any subscription purchase made through the parent's Apple ID.

You also represent that you are not barred from receiving software from the United States under applicable law (for example, you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo).

3. License to use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use one copy of the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use.

4. Subscription terms

Some features of Deen Verse — including premium themes, premium content categories, and configurable widgets — require an auto-renewing subscription called Deen Verse Premium.

Your subscription renews automatically each year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price unless we have given you advance notice of a price change.

c. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from iOS Settings → [Your Apple ID] → Subscriptions, or from inside Deen Verse → Settings → Manage subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep premium access until then.

d. Refunds

All sales are final and refunds are at the sole discretion of Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

e. Payment

Payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple ID. We never receive your credit card number or Apple ID password. By starting a subscription you authorize Apple to charge your Apple ID at the listed price for each renewal until you cancel.

5. Religious content

Deen Verse presents excerpts from the Holy Quran, authentic hadith collections, classical duas, and supplementary educational content. We strive for accuracy and source-fidelity, but we do not represent any single school of thought, and we make no warranty that a translation, transliteration, or excerpt is the only acceptable rendering.

The App is intended as a supplement to — not a substitute for — guidance from a qualified scholar (alim). Always cross-reference with a trusted scholar before relying on a specific text for ruling, recitation, or practice.

6. Your content

If you save favorites, organize collections, set local reminders, or fill in About You answers, that content ("Your Content") is stored on your device and in your private iCloud database under your control. We do not access, store on our servers, or share Your Content.

You retain all rights in Your Content. Because we do not host it, we do not need a license from you to operate the App.

8. Intellectual property

All non-Quranic content, hadith translations, design, graphics, fonts, sound, source code, and the "Deen Verse" name and logo are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right or license in our intellectual property except the limited right to use the App as described in section 3.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that all errors will be corrected, or that any specific religious or factual content is accurate or complete. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the foregoing exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL DEEN VERSE OR ITS LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (b) US$50.

11. Termination

You may stop using Deen Verse at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or if continued provision of the App is not commercially viable.

Sections 8 (Intellectual property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of liability), 12 (Apple as third-party beneficiary), 13 (Governing law), and any provision that by its nature should survive will survive termination.

12. Apple as a third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Deen Verse, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the App.

In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App (if any) to you. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the App.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, U.S.A., without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, USA, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. This section does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer-protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted inside the App before they take effect. Your continued use of Deen Verse after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
